hauptbahnhof [main station]spatial music for a station for soprano, alto, tenor saxophone, bassoon world premiere Berlin-Hauptbahnhof, August 30, 2010, 10pm ohrenstrand mobil Lucio Capece, soprano saxophone Meriel Price, alto saxophone Christoph Enzel, tenor saxophone Heidi Elizabeth Mockert, bassoon long held tones interpenetrate with the sounds of the station. the material consists in transcriptions of the station's schedule. each instrument has an individual (partly microtonal) scale of ten pitches. the minutes of the schedule indicate which tone of the scale should be played.  |
